We came from the US to look for a flat in Gandia. We found one we liked but right before we could proceed with the purchase the owner died. Nick didn't bat an eye. He was in constant contact with the sellers realtor who in turn was in contact with the heirs while waiting for the Spanish version of probate to be completed. It took a few months but it finally went through. We are now the proud owners of a beautiful flat in the center of town and couldn’t be happier. Nick was the glue that held this whole process together. I’m so thankful that he was our realtor. It worked out perfectly.

The first time we met Nick was a year before we bought our house in Gandia area. For the first contact, he spent more than 3 hours with us even if he knew we were not ready to buy. He took his time to well understand our needs and to explain in detail the Spanish market and risk you might take if you don’t pay attention especially if you are a foreigner.
The process to buy our house took us 3 additional visits spread over a period of roughly a year. Each time Nick spent a significant amount of time with us for the visits, and I must say he was very patient. At the end we have completed the deal and are very pleased with our acquisition.
The process before and after buying the house went smoothly and the final signature of the deal was done even without us, but with our lawyer recommended by Nick. So, full trust in his recommendation.
In summary, if you are looking for a trustable real estate agent, I highly recommend Nick for his professionalism, high knowledge of the market good advice and most of all for his kindness.

Nick Snelling is a rare gem in real estate. He is honest and helps you find the right home for your desired lifestyle even if it means a smaller commission for him. You will never see that in an agent in the United States.

We first came to know Nick through his appearances on House Hunters International. When we came to the Costa Blanca in 2021 to look for an area to settle in we wound up meeting him through recommendations from friends in the American Expatriates in Spain Facebook. He listened to what we wanted for our new lives in Spain and showed us house in around the area. He know we were not ready to buy but that didn't stop him from taking his time with us. When we returned in early 2023 he showed us the house we now live in on the first day.

Navigating the Spanish real estate market and processes is very different than many people from other countries are accustom to. Nick will act in your best interest. This is so important in a real estate market like Spain which is dominated by many agents who represent both a seller and buyer in the same transaction.

Nick also has more than 20+ years in this region of Spain so he is able to help his clients find the best area for their needs and price point. He is professional, friendly, and always provides sound advice. We really valued his perspectives as we began exploring the area and looking at properties.

Buying property abroad when you don’t have sufficient knowledge of the language can be fraught with problems and expensive mistakes.
Nick is one of a kind, a mine of information and a truly honest estate agent. He is more like a friend than a salesman and we had a great day with him being shown all of the properties that met our requirements.

I first came across Nick Snelling on House Hunters International and Place in the Sun. When I was ready to buy in Spain, I contacted Nick. He was incredibly helpful and immediately offered up invaluable nuggets from his decades of experience. With his guidance, I soon had all the tools needed to buy successfully in Spain. He was with me in every step of the process, from home viewings all the way to the notary (and beyond!). Spain is riddled with traps for the ex pat buyer but Nick made sure I navigated them all with ease. In the end, I bought my dream home; without Nick, it never would have happened! I originally found Nick Snelling, owner of Casalasafor Consultancies, via his book on Amazon. When I discovered he was a realtor in the area we were interested in, I contacted him.

We were moving from Texas to Spain so needed a fair bit of handholding and guidance. Nick could not have been more helpful and professional. He really listened to what we wanted and showed us multiple properties. When we wanted to look in another area, he connected us with a realtor he trusted. We ultimately bought a house from Nick and could not be happier. (The picture is the day our offer was accepted.)

Even after we closed, Nick continued to help us adapt to our new area and introduced us to other people in our area. I recommend Nick to everyone I encounter in the expat groups on social media who are thinking of moving from the US to our area of Spain.

Hello. I have known Nick for over 20 years & have bought through Casalasafor. What is very impressive is his determination to get things right. One could put this down to his legal training (LLB) and his time in the military. My feeling is above all else he wants very satisfied customers who in turn will highly recommend him. Very few property agents can show you a book that tells you in detail how a property transaction should pan out. Called: 'How to Buy Property and Move to Spain - Safely!' it is an excellent read and will help you make all the right choices.For most people buying in Spain is life changing. There are quite a few sharks around who make the door locking in a Time Share presentation quite amateur. Nick’s approach is about as far away as one could get.I recently took an old friend to see Nick who I know to be a very very demanding customer. Nick hit the spot with viewing number 4.
