From the guest/gate house you follow the drive down to the main house. The outside area to the rear of the main house is beautiful.  The elevated pool and terrace area of approx. 100m2 gives views of the village and the surrounding country and mountains.  It has a summer gazebo, a 10m. x 5m. solar heated pool and a hot tub seating up to 12. It has both sunny and shaded areas with some 30m2 under the covered arched terrace where, at present, the family have a comfortable sitting area and bar and a table-tennis table too. There is plenty of room for entertaining and it is finished with a BBQ/paella house.

To the left of the terrace are steps down to a garden planted out with Bougainvillea, Oleanders and Palms. To the right are more steps to a small orange grove, giving delicious, juicy oranges for much of the year (the area is large enough for a tennis court if required). There are 5 large, well-established fan palms, nut and pomegranate trees creating an impressive boarder. The guest house is a lovely two-bedroom villa. Completely independent from the main house with its own pool, patio and parking areas. Inside it has open-plan living, dining and kitchen, which look over the pool area. From the living area is a hallway off which there is a small utility room and the master bedroom boasting a full en-suite.

A spiral stairway leads down to the second bedroom, which also has its own en-suite facilities. Both bedrooms are double and are finished with large fitted wardrobes.

The views from both the main house and the guesthouse are absolutely STUNNING, sitting in one of Spain’s most lush and green valleys, the mountains all around are an artist’s dream. The colours change from season to season and from hour to hour, looking bright greens to moody greys to dazzling purples. And sometimes in winter the very tops can be dusted with snow!

The main house over-looks a tiny village with its pretty church standing proud in the centre and lit each night. The bells can be heard each hour and at Christmas, carols are played via the church’s PA system!

The village is only a 5 minute stroll and has less then 500 residents, the few of them that are seen are very friendly and are happy to involve new-comers in their many fiestas! For a tiny village it is surprisingly well equipped! It has a general store, a bakers, a butchers, a bank, a town hall and 3 small bars!!!  It also boasts an international riding stables which hosts many events, a health spa and a quiet licensed airfield, where micro lights and helicopters can be flown in/out or hangared.

The cost of living in Spain is still lower than the UK. The property could also be considered as an investment as the price has been set to reflect the present financial climate. The sellers have also rented out the guesthouse as a holiday rental for the past 7 years, and indeed the main house would make an excellent B&B.

Villa Piloto is situated midway between Alicante and Valencia International airports, both of which are served by several budget airlines from most UK airports.  They are also easily accessible by the excellent road system, which makes travel to and from the region a winner for living or rental opportunities.

    I first came across Nick Snelling on House Hunters International and Place in the Sun. When I was ready to buy in Spain, I contacted Nick.     Hello. I have known Nick for over 20 years & have bought through Casalasafor. What is very impressive is his determination to get things right.
